lyrics
The hours drip down every step we're on until they settle far below.
Pick through the pile to find the time we lost with you still glowing strong, your light to lead the way.
And we don't understand why things are how they are when we see your empty bed, strands of hair and body marks there instead.
Pull at the carpet, on the steps we wait for you to wake up and take us from this place.
And we don't understand gravity and its reign, holding us here on the stairs - we're calling out but no one's there. And we don't understand the fear that's sinking in when we see our mother, lifeless, wheel away. And we couldn't follow you 'cuz your life stood still....your live stood still and we did too.
